Cops vs Bikes - Use of force

I haven't played as a COP properly for a few years and I've only just started playing again so I don't have really have a massive understanding of bikes/bikes in chases except what I've seen of them in game.

I'm guessing the 5 second bust still applies to bikes and once a bike is down then it is going to be busted? I can see you don't need a lot of force to unsettle and take down a bike.

I don't see an issue with force being used on bikes as long as it is safe and tactical (same as any chase). If you fail to stop then you should expect force to be used to stop you.. that's the sole goal of a cop in a chase, to stop someone who is running. If you chose a vehicle that is unstable then you are either gonna get knocked over or fall over.
