If you look at the government now they're afraid to leave the EU, although they don't want to comply with their rules & regulations. It would be damaging to the economy and relationships with other EU countries.

i dont think it would be damaging to our relationships with other countries what so ever. Maybe in the short run there would be some bitterness because they can no longer control us, but in the longer run we would earn respect and the right to make our own choices, such as sending our soldiers to war when we NEED to.
