I think the thing with the MED is: They don't know how to use the sirens properly.
When I am going to the scene, I sometimes use my siren to let people know I am coming with a higher speed than usual (140 in 120 zone perhaps).
I use the siren to let them know I am coming, not to force my way through.
Of course, I still can make a mistake, but I think some MEDs take too much risk with being a little bit faster on the scene.

If the rule becomes I need to have Cop rights to be a MED, I would have a problem, since I don't have them.
