The other xfg managed to spot the chase and slow down just fine, so no excuse for him there.

I would say the same. He was controlling the rac quite well and had no problem the time i spectated him before this incident.
There was no reason for this user to suddenly pull left and his excuse certainly makes no sense to me at all.
Also has a history of ramming/revenge ramming.
