RE: Police Proficiency Award and Award Systems
Sorry Malibu, but I can't see any XFR cops on the best cops list with a good ratio. Best I can see is ABI who looses 1 in 3.57 chases. Nothing special.

RE: Police Proficiency Award and Award Systems
tbh I don't think the ratio means that much, for example a cop can just sit with a XFR or FZ5 or something and just chase xfg's/tbo's and win with ease tbh as all they have to do is just sit back and follow and wait for a mistake from the suspect. I'd rather rate a cop on personal experience from chases in the past ive had with them rather than some ratio's.

RE: Police Proficiency Award and Award Systems
I don't know of any cops which are that selective with who they chase. I think most cops will chase suspects that they think they can at least keep up with and some chase anything.
But like I said, it would be more a reflection of pursuit skill, not experience, communication, fairness or safety. You'd be right in saying (apart from experience) these things would need to be ranked in a personal way. |

RE: Police Proficiency Award and Award Systems
I thought Paul usually copped in FZ5? He has a good ratio, but then Paul is a skilled cop anyway, so I'd expect that. As for Sarge, I seem to remember him using both FZ5 and XFR, but his ratio isn't anything special either. Actually less than ABI's.

RE: Police Proficiency Award and Award Systems
This idea is all well and good but with alot of real life commitments, its bound to slow down and certain police 'Sections' are bound to flop due to activity. People would always want to go with their friends too. If you really wanted that, it really should be based upon area of where you are. Such as NYPD, Merseyside Police and Essex Police, stuff like that.
On the proficiency, I think thats a good idea but really, it should have something to do with the training already on offer. Namely, there would be an award (forum wise or maybe on their insim record) to signify that they have completed basic and/or advanced training. There should also be a rating system based off of replays that all of the trainers could watch and they rate their proficiency level out of 10 from the training. This could also go along with the award like once you obtain the award the trainers decide whether its say a 7/10 proficiency level or whatever. Since there was talks of the W/L ratio being an inaccurate means of guaging cop skill. This could help in guaging that level. This would also make it that it is NOT, I repeat, NOT mandatory unless you take training. |
