I think a delay for cops who aren't as near to the suspect as other cops would also be a good feature.

I dunno, I would rather have a COP I have asked to join than a randomer that may end up pitting me instead of the suspect. Call it whatever you want but safe copping is better than getting backup that is over the other side of the open track.

That's one of the many reasons why people should more often join ts while copping. Active communication between cops and 10x the role-play. By that, you'll know exactly where the suspect is, what turns to make, and when to do what. As for the delay, I'd say its disadvantage for the suspect, since cops already have 3 open slots for backup. If the lead cop does notice the suspect is circling the autobahn continuously, then why not request for a gtr?

To be honest, I find when the suspect circles the AB with 4 cops behind them it creates a massive hazard, if the suspect isnt used to being pressured or panics when they see traffic, a large accident is bound to happen. Like earlier today (yesterday), traffic had slowed down due to a chase on the AB and I ended up nearly totalling a UF1 due to the traffic building up and it pulling out infront of me. It not only gives a danger to the cops but the general population. If suspects are going to keep going round the AB, there should be a point that the chase should be called off. Traffic will most likely build up, couple that with more than one cop running backup/blocks and you have a desperately dangerous situation.

Back on topic.. Generally, backup should offer more than backup, the ability to not only keep in contact with the suspect but being able to offer assistance the minute the lead cop needs it. Teamspeak, which as Fuji mentioned is vital to this as it offers instant and often clear communication, should be something that is generally accepted as the first thing that is used when copping, long before they open TCLights.
