Poll: Should there be a bridge over the roundabout?

@kon4a's suggestion looks like it could work pretty well.

As for concerns about people hitting the ramps and going flying, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Considering I can hit the current flyovers at the other AB junction (where it meets business park) at 80mph with virtually no bumps, no damage and not even leaving the ground (and could probably hit them at over 100mph if it weren't for the turn!) and this bridge would have a longer, shallower ramp, it should be fine. Maybe put a 75mph (or even 60mph) limit over the whole area to encourage people to slow down a bit. Lots of collisions also occur at the current roundabout, with people failing to slow down and either hitting traffic on the roundabout, hitting drivers who have stopped to give way, or glitching over the barriers and ending up blocking traffic.

I love the idea, BUT we're doing it wrong. We DON'T need a bridge on the autobahn, we need a bridge over it. It eliminates roundabout, so no more dumb drifters, no more chaos, a nice change for the track, so everybody wins Smile

Roundabout is there not to slow down the traffic or flow of it, it's there to let others leave or join the autobahn safely, with a bridge it would be possible to do so too. Smile

I like the idea, would be nice to be able to hold a steady speed the whole way around. Thought wouldnt a bridge over the autobahn be just as good?

There aren't necessarily problems with it at the moment, so removing the roundabout won't actually solve anything.

I am now working on an overpass concept, I'll post in a few hours Smile

The only thing that might concern me is the roundabout at the bottom of the overpass. There might still be a way how to avoid people hammering into the wall, as putting the roundabout further away or somehow like that. Still, there will always be some people who will crash and cause mayhem anywhere Wink

You can't go quick enough to actually jump on bridge, + as the ascend is quite even, there's a little chance you could actually jump. I will test it on different speeds once I've done both sides and post the final layout + test results Wink
