Al Jean teases: ‘We’ll scratch that itch’

Sideshow Bob might finally kill Bart Simpson…in a Halloween episode.
The Simpsons executive producer Al Jean teased that the villain, voiced by Kelsey Grammar, is retuning to the series, and might get his wish.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at the ATX Festival in Texas, he said: ‘I hated frustration comedy so we’ll scratch that itch. So Bob will finally somehow actually execute Bart – and then won’t know what to do with himself after his life’s mission has been accomplished.’
However this all will take place in a Halloween episode, so Bart’s demise won’t be permanent.
Sideshow Bob first set out to kill Bart in 1993 episode Cape Feare.
Jean also revealed that Spider-Pig is also coming back for the 27th season.
Entertainment Weekly added that while there was no update on voice actor Harry Shearer, who left the show last month, they were hoping to strike a new deal with him.

Haven't watched the Simpsons in ages. The recent episodes are sort of lacking in quality. Probably started going downhill around 2005.

As the text in the spoiler says, Bart wouldn't be dead forever anyway. Probably about time ol' Bob actually succeeded though.

Yeah i lost also intreset in simpsons a while ago but when i saw this i might gonna watch

The simpsons changed when goverment went crazy about CARTOONS offending people. So they made them less funny. Family guy is the new simpsons for me.

I used to watch Simpsons too, now I might watch only if I am bored and it comes live on TV.

After watching Family Guy for a while coming back to Simpsons, I really don't find The Simpsons the slightest of entertaining anymore - it's so predictable.

As for the predictability of the show, VirtualTourist pretty much said it. Every "adult" animated comedy is pretty much the same and that's why its so entertaining to watch.
