They think just because they speak arabic and and say Allah, that means that they are "Islamic". Which is complete bollocks. Are you serious? Maybe you should check the facts before shouting here. ISIS (IS)= Islamic State. Its goal has been to establish itself as a caliphate. "IS members are jihadists who adhere to an extreme interpretation of Sunni Islam and consider themselves the only true believers. They hold that the rest of the world is made up of unbelievers who seek to destroy Islam, justifying attacks against other Muslims and non-Muslims alike." I can gather more information if you want. Locked.
Reason (although it should be clear: This is obviously a terrible subject in itself, but discussions have clearly taken a bad turn where keeping it open would cause more harm than good. A terrorism discussion will never end well anyway. |

RE: #CharlieHebdo - Terrorist attack in France
This topic will be unlocked on the condition that people ONLY talk about the actual events/incidents (i.e. Charlie Hebdo incident, Paris massacre). Do not argue about general terrorism/religion since that often includes controversial opinions which will cause further problems. Posts which discuss the actual events - or show support - are fine. Punishments may be issued otherwise.

ISIS has its own ways of funding its acts; for example, selling oil, human trafficking, and conquiring new areas are three typical ways. |

RE: #CharlieHebdo - Terrorist attack in France
I must say I found it heartwarming that all the people in the stadium, at the England - France game, sung or atleast tried to sing the French National Anthem.

RE: #CharlieHebdo - Terrorist attack in France
England vs France was certainly a game of respect, amazing to watch! Tonnes of security and it was great to see everyone united for a good game of football!
Respect to Lassana Diarra a French midfielder who's cousin was killed in the attack on Friday, and still played the game. Also, a praise for the German authorities after reportedly discovering an Ambulance parked inside the stadium packed with explosives at the stadium for the Germany vs Netherlands international friendly. Everyone was told to evacuate immediately and calmly whilst also avoiding the city center. |

Yeah I feel bad for the french player who look at the ground, he lost a member of his family during the attacks. We also sung our national anthem after the football game on the 13rd November, day of attacks, while evacuating the stadium. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtlGfdupSzc It really feels good to see all this support, to see that our national hymn has been around the world : NYC Metropolitan Opera : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6vGq_rHAmE Montreal, Canada at a hockey game : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjVxFLRsPcI Sydney, Australia : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBbHk8mms00 I read that there is an italian football player who kissed our flag once he scored a goal for his team. And I may missed some, more to come probably on next days. |

That moment of silence in the Bell Center sure was silent for a 20,000 crowd.

RE: #CharlieHebdo - Terrorist attack in France
It was a Police raid from what I've heard on the news, it wasn't a planned attack by terrorists, it was a counter terrorism attack by the police, a few officers were injured, not too sure on casualties but i believe the deaths were terrorist deaths caused by the woman killing herself.

RE: #CharlieHebdo - Terrorist attack in France
Yeah, they raided the ring leaders of the Paris attacks. Seems they were communicating through PS4's and encrypted smartphone apps.
Do these people just walk around with explosives strapped to themselves 24/7? It's totally mad how they just blow themselves up.. |
