RE: G-Sync 144hz-180hz is worth it?
If your computer can run above 180fps consistently and at a steady rate with minimal frame drops, it's worth it by a mile. I don't know too much about G-Sync but it sounds good and running at 144hz in racing games and fps is just a whole new experience. Definitely worth it.
The ROG series is a great series, I use a BenQ Zowie XL2720 and for the price that is a fantastic monitor, the colours a very vibrant (too vibrant in some cases imo, but I'm used to gaming on a TV ). Best thing I ever did was get an affordable 144hz monitor. 180hz will only be even better! |

Go for it if you have the money.
GSync is a nice upgrade and the extra frame rate makes for a nice fluidity in fast movement scenes. |

No idea about G-Sync but I have a 144hz monitor and I could never go back.

Gsync works above 30fps, its best to have at least 60 so it looks smooth enough. I have an Asus PG278Q and it is impressive in gsync mode (when you can get the thing to gsync). I think if a monitor has Gsync it can also do ULMB which is handy for higher fps (over 120 I would say).
