Change the visibility of the "MOVE FOR POLICE" and "STOP POLICE" for other players
So when an officers types "!move" or "!stop", the targetted player (the player in front of the cop) will have his name with either MOVE FOR POLICE or STOP POLICE in the chat, for the whole server to see. Correct?
As this feature doesn't really help other players on the server, I suggest that only the targetted player and the cop will see this message. I think that other players should be bothered with local police activities that don't concern them. Unless this feature is implented as a form of public shaming, tho I very much doubt that. Alternative: have the MOVE and STOP messages only show up locally, so other people around the targetted player will be able to see it too. Please excuse my poor English |

RE: Change the visibility of the "MOVE FOR POLICE" and "STOP POLICE" for other players
Having the "move for police" message displayed locally, in big characters, under the siren thing, could benefit everybody way better than a chat message.
I voted for only the targetted player to see it, kinda the way it is now, to avoid confusions. |

RE: Change the visibility of the "MOVE FOR POLICE" and "STOP POLICE&quo...
About MOVE FOR POLICE:
I voted for the third option. There are often situations where the person who is on the road infront of the police is in the back of another person who is driving in the same way as the one in the back. There may even be more people around and in front of that person. If such a message is sent only to the person who is in front of the police and not to the person who may be in front of that person, there may be a collision or have to send this message immediatly when the person infront of the police moved. So it's best to warn the area in front of the police at a distance of about 50-100 meters, not just a single person. Such a message should of course be displayed on the screen like "STOP POLICE". About STOP POLICE: In my opinion, leave it as it is. Message is displayed on the suspect's screen. Everyone can see it in the chat, but it is also a message for other cops who may consider that suspect can fail to stop and will be ready to backup. |

Hamster - I agree with what you say

Correct? When we talk about MOVE FOR POLICE or STOP POLICE in the chat, the policeman will benefit from it in general and also any person from the administration if he finds something in the chat will know that there is something problem or someone trying to destroy the chases " Unless this feature is implented as a form of public shaming, tho I very much doubt that." There is no shame in this matter, but only alerting the person to see in the event that he is an indifferent person |

RE: Change the visibility of the "MOVE FOR POLICE" and "STOP POLICE" for other players
There are indeed a few reasons why it should be visible. Some examples:
- Imagine you're cruising with a friend and you suddenly see "<your friends name>: STOP POLICE", you immediately know what's going on. -The MOVE message makes sense to admins to see that there is someone not cooperating well if the message appears repeatedly -And last but not least: Those messages will appear in the chatlogs, so we have actual evidence about when a chase started or someone failed to moved when asked. If those messages were local only, we have no trace of that information. |

If those messages were local only, we have no trace of that information. If the messages would also appear for admins, would that also be registered by chat log? And if no, maybe just "<cop> started chasing <target>" would be enough, right? I mean, players are free to cooperate with the stop messages. But I understand your point concerning the MOVE messages. But maybe the benefits of implenting my suggestion will outweigh the disadvantages. Some cops seems to spam the MOVE button... |

RE: Change the visibility of the "MOVE FOR POLICE" and "STOP POLICE" for other players
If you want it to display both in chat for chatlog purposes and recude the amount of "Move for police" messages in chat, an alternative could be to limit how many occurances of "Move for police" is visible for the public.
For example: If you limit it to 3 messages, then any use of !move after those 3 messages is only displayed for the COP and the targetted player. This way it will display who the "Move for police" was towards in the chatlogs and stop spamming the chat too much for the general public. |

RE: Change the visibility of the "MOVE FOR POLICE" and "STOP POLICE" for other players
If people are in my way when I am in a chase, then I'd be pissed off if I could only tell them to !move once or twice. The reality is, a lot of people lack awareness, let alone the ability to keep an eye on the chatlogs regularly/when cars are approaching them. Multitasking is simply too difficult for many people.
I am against reducing the move for police messages in chat and believe everyone should have the ability to see these messages. It highlights to every player (and therefore accountable to the community), who the idiot is - whether that's the cop spamming TOO much, or the player that's always being told to !move. In any event, it's always going to be dependent on the situation. If the player is in the process of moving, then there is no need to spam, if the player is being a complete pleb, then of course you're entitled to send !move a few more times, but remembering to use some common sense with how you go about this. The current way is more flexible than the other two options, and when issues do arise, admins are there to deal with it. |
