SORL ROUND 4 - RESULTS & WARNINGS

Race 4 took us to Aston Historic for 15 laps (not 20 as I accidentally put) for a day of close racing, an quite a few bumps and scrapes.

Warnings

E.Ekmekcibasi given a 10 second penalty to finishing time as a penalty for his L13 incident, heavy warning also given as well as a guaranteed DQ if anything as such happens again.

Getrag given a warning for spacial awareness, no points or positions being docked from him.

Pete to be given a reminder for VR drivers not being given special treatment under spacial awareness.

Update;

We're monitoring the attacks on the Master server, if the situation is the same as of Sunday, then the chances are that we will be suspending SO-RL until a time where the attacks have stopped.

We would rather have the community wait and hope on the day, it's an anxious waiting game for everyone, let's all hope that soon there is a solution to the problem.

TL;dr - We're considering suspending the season, full decision expected SUNDAY... No decision made yet.

In times like this we can only support LFS developers and not speculate the cause or who. I'd like to see you all this coming Wednesday, but lets wait and see.

After 4 days of waiting, watching and hoping SORL will not be postponed until further notice due to LFS seeming consistent recently, to this respect if another DDoS incident happens again we will look into postponement IF needed.

In this case however it is not.

On the subject of the recent kicking of South from the league one new spot has been opened up.

Thank you to everyone who has attend each race, I'd also like to add at the end... My internet is fixed! So I should also be at the races!

We're halfway through our season with AA leading the teams and P1 and P2 on drivers both with 100 points (200 points in team) with Getrag in 3rd with 88 points.


On kicks or bans from the league.


If your kicked from the league for cheating or hacking your points WILL BE REMOVED FROM TEAMS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON.

Hello! Firstly a thank you to every driver who attended, we had 17 on the starting grid along with 12 finishers, with some close tight racing, the car proving the provide a very compacted field throughout the race.

This post comes with two big updates!

Firstly an update around Stewarding and Penalties, in case any incidents happen on track we have opted to roll out a Post Race Stewarding system, utilising the tickets bot in our Discord server. Drivers will have 24 hours from the end of the event to submit incidents for review.

Secondly a modification to our points system, due to the amount of sign-ups and attendees within our first race we have made the decision to modify the points system to ensure people are properly pointed for their races, this decision was made as our current system only awards points for 1st-10th.

To ensure our points gap remains consistent throughout the new system and the old one, the points will be as follows:

1st: 64
2nd: 62
3rd: 60
4th: 58
5th: 56
6th: 54
7th: 52
8th: 50
and so on until 32nd at 2 points.

We're gearing up for Round 2 of the Street Obsessions Racing League!

This round we're visiting the fast circuit of Weshtill for the National Layout, 25 laps of wheel to wheel racing in the Formula 60. Race 1 at Fern Bay Gold saw some great racing from the drivers, with a 5 car battle for the 3rd spot on the podium!

Password for tonights race will be sent out at 12:00 UTC approx to all signed up drivers.

Hello! I apologise for the lateness of this post, after a tight race we've reviewed an incident report that was put in and as such the result will be somewhat different to the below image!

D.Karlsson - DT Penalty converted to time Penalty (+18s) as such this driver drops down to 8th position, promoting Lalurux and Soini to 6th and 7th respectively.

Round 1 Results!

Hello! I apologise for the lateness of this post, I have been snowed under with real world commitments over the past week of which I've had to find the free time to finalise a thing things within this season.

Sorry for the lateness in providing the track choice for this round, however this is round 3, our LAYOUT round. We've scowered the LFS Forums to find a layout perfect for our night of racing, and we've come across and landed on LA2_Skye by Sinanju it flows, its fun and most of all should give us some great racing.

Its been placed onto the Street Obsessions server for people to go and practise on and we hope to see you all on Thursday the 22nd for the final race this year of SORL!
