That leaves 7 slots unused that we could use for spectators. The stand-by mode now allows to make use of those 7 slots and Insim manages the access to the 40 gaming slots without the known "Race is full" hassle. When spectating, you're automatically sent to the stand-by group, which allows another player to take your slot on the track. When you want to re-join the race, you can press a button to enter the queue to join. Once a slot has become available it will be assigned to you and reserved for 5 minutes to join. So there is no competing with others. In case there are <=40 connections, this system is passive and you may just play like before. Note: This is an experimental feature and may change.
