Condition repair
Hello
Even if we want to keep using the same car, it will surely run out after a while and we will have to buy a new one. My suggestion is to add a ‘condition repair’ to the cars via the garage menu.(buy items) as an example: selling price of the car = 10.000 euro Sale price for ‘condition repair ’ (for the same vehicle) = 10 % 1500 euro Selling price /100 x 15 = %10 condition repair This makes it possible to use a vehicle with the same chassis number for many kilometres. In addition, the scrapyard will not be filled up and a new chassis number will not have to be constantly purchased. It can work like this: A car service can be added to any point of the map and we write the chassis number of the vehicle we want on the screen that opens here and insim will give us a price according to the base price of the vehicle. When we pay, the condition rate may increase. If it is not possible to set a location on the maps, the ‘car repair’ button can be added to the Home-menu window and the same procedure can be performed there. |

RE: Condition repair
I agree with what you say, although I can't decide how technical it would be. I would like condition repair to come.

RE: Condition repair
Some people get attached to things (im one of them) I would love to see this. Imagine having a VIN with over 50,000 km!

RE: Condition repair
I agree with your opinion. Increasing the condition of the vehicle at a cost is better than having it scrapped.

RE: Condition repair
I really like the idea, let's put those MOT stations to use! I put forth a couple feature suggestions:
Wait times: A method which determines how long repair is going to take, weighed against the cond. % and the value of the car. It should be on the order of at least a few minutes, perhaps up to an hour if the cond % is really low and it's an expensive car (lambo?) (maybe you will want to drop the car off ) Players should have a choice if they wish to repair the car to wait with it, then drive it away after reconditioning OR to drop off the car and get it back when the repair station is done. Repair station will send a colored message to you about it, and remind you on a regular basis until you pick up the car. Differences being: - If you wait with it -> takes less time to get back on the road with that particular car, and it will cost a little less, say for example 10% discount. IF the player goes spec or D/C during repair, the repair is CANCELLED and the player is charged a cancellation fee. The catch is you MUST sit there in the repair station. If you spec or go pit, the repair is cancelled. - If you drop it off -> takes longer for the repair station to get to the car. Other players drop their cars off too, the shop is busy. Repair costs: I believe I'm on the same page as OP, but would like to ensure that pricing on repair depends on the overall value of the car. For example, repairing an XFG from 5% cond. should cost a lot less than it takes to repair Veyron at 5%. There may possibly be a cost benefit for players if they re-condition more regularly. Vehicle value: Reconditioning should also recondition vehicle's value, to some upper limit. It should never be valued as it was when it was new, and if possible, the maximum value should go down over time - to some lower limit - because a car with a million KM just wouldn't be worth the same as one with 100,000km. ROLE-PLAY: Perhaps...you can have a [MECH] role that can simply hang-out at a repair station, and their purpose is to speed up repairing. Their job is a little monotonous but an important one - they will need to stay within a certain radius of the repair station. This role might not get used all the time, but you could co-ordinate with others to make a repair happen faster. The MECH gets some small % stipend of the repair bill. The MECH should help cut repair time by maybe 25%. MECHs bonus can be multiplied with multiple MECHs, and any MECH on duty at a repair station helps ALL cars undergoing repair. It's not much but it's honest work :') Cool idea |

(2024-12-08 19:38)TheStigUSA Wrote: Cool idea As TheStigUSA writes, it is quite logical to be done as a profession, but it seems very illogical to leave the vehicle in service if it is done with the ‘MECH’ profession. You took the car to the service and there is a ‘MECH’ there. He will participate in the repair of your vehicle and get a share of 5%. (MECH's participation increases repair speed by 10%) For example, a ‘MECH’ is waiting in the workshop and helps to repair an incoming vehicle. Imagine that your repair time is 10 minutes for example, and now your repair time has dropped to 9 minutes. ‘MECH’ received 5% of the amount you paid to insim as a fee. If we accept that you paid 2000 euro, ‘MECH’ earned 100 euro from this job, the remaining money should go to the system again. In order to prevent abuse of the ‘MECH’ task, a maximum of 3 ‘MECH’ employees can participate in one vehicle. This prevents your vehicle from being repaired in as little as 1 minute (unrealistic). For repair times, in my opinion, it should be proportional to how much repair we want. For all cars, %10 cent repair is like 10 minutes. That was a really creative idea |

RE: Condition repair
Finally, if we need to discuss the impact on the value of the vehicle, I think it should maintain its current price.
example1 You bought a new car and when the condition of the car was 90%, you repaired it and brought it back to 100% condition. the value of the car will remain at 90% condition price. Example2 You bought a new car and while the condition of the car is 10%, you bring it back to 100% condition. the value of the car will remain at 10% condition price. This shows how regularly you use the vehicle and do not disrupt maintenance. It makes it possible to see 20k km and low value vehicles and 100k km and high value vehicles. Or, much more simply, condition can be determined according to service acceptance and vehicles between 20% and 10% condition can be taken into service. This is a choice between sending the vehicle to the scrapyard and repairing it. Not accepting vehicles with a condition below 10% to the service (‘not suitable for repair’ may appear on the screen). It can also adjust the price of the vehicle coming to the service so that the price remains constant. Thus, unfair gain can be prevented as it has a price at any value between 20% and 10%. |

RE: Condition repair
Wanted to mention that "Transporting" cars would have a totally different meaning too if there were MOT/Service stations
