Ahh, then it was someone else with the 1.6 Pinto.

Yours should do it in about 10 if it's in good condition.

There is Pinto with 2.0, 1.8 and 1.6.. carb or fuel injection.. with or without cat. From -90 or -91 they got a new updated engine with DOHC (Still 8v tho, FAIL)
