RE: Escalator vs. Disabled Woman
Pretty dumb stopping it tbh, be much easier to just let her ride all the way to the top and let them sort it out there.
Did she not think that could happen? |

I think she honestly thought she could fight on the escalator... considering every step is barely enough to stand on I don't see how anybody could think she could make it. |

Things like this make me love the human races ability to be so stupid, it also makes me sad that the human race has such morons in it.

I'm not quite understanding your point. You have to commit murder (or similar) to be considered a moron? Other than that, I can't see any other way to read your post in reply to mine. |

RE: Escalator vs. Disabled Woman
No, it's the way you're saying that you're sad that people like this woman are in the human race. My point is that you're slightly overreacting for such an incident. A more serious, less mundane incident might qualify for the statement...
P.S: Using a murder purely as an example. |

RE: Escalator vs. Disabled Woman
It does make me sad that people exist that can't do a quick and simple think through.
If she had, she would have quickly come upon the fact that the escalator cannot actually work for her in her current condition. Either find a disabled ramp (it's actually easier for disabled people to move around these days than it is for fully abled people, what with all the ramps here there and everywhere, my local shopping centre looks more like a skate park than the local skate park...) or give up on the idea of using an escalator in a wheelchair. |

I've never heard such a high level of bull contained in so few words in my entire life. I am a full time private care assistant for a young man with a severe physical disability (duchenne muscular dystrophy). And I can tell you now, you have no absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Please never apply for a job in care. |

I need a reason to feel for my fellow human beings?

There's a reason for everything. But whatever the reason, it's nice you feel for me.

He can walk fine in the house and around it and stuff, but he can't walk for longer distances. Also, there is a possibility he can fall, but that's maybe because he's a bit old |
