Jamaica Crossroad

The big crossing in Jamaica between Highway 2, Devils Corner, Bridge East and West.

If you're like me and chasing vehicles through there often, you'll quickly notice that as the suspect passes through there, the LEAS will tell you sometimes the wrong location and takes some time to update to the right one.

My suggestion is to give the overall area of the crossroad section a name of it's own "Cross Roads" or "Interstate Junction" or something similar, so that when the suspect leaves the junction, you know for definite which way they are actually going because they will have had to physically leave the junction.

This would surely imo make chases through here a little less chaotic with (less)confused police cars doing u turns allover the place and causing crashes etc.

Lewis, what are you talking about? If you're on Devil's Corner, how can someone on HW2 affect you?

I'm rather wondering why the suspect's location is shown at all. The suspect should also be able to get away by using tricks and his brain, instead of the gas-pedal only.
Tbh, I consider this thing a cheat, might have only become available by mistake too.

There were plans a long time ago, shortly after the suspect's location was added, to make it visible only when the suspect is in sight of a cop to add to the realism & fairness. Unfortunately, we never got round to working on a reliable implementation.

I do agree that it would make chases more interesting if the suspect's location was not available.

Whilst I agree with the points made, and if Elmo's suggestion was implemented, I still don't think the tracker should be telling you the wrong location and that's why I suggested giving the junction its own roadname since it seems to send the insim haywire here.

It would be interesting to see the location only being reported when atleast one cop is within visible distance but this idea is irrelevent to the fact that atm the tracker is sometimes telling you the wrong location at this junction

It's not really that irrelevant, as you should probably be using your eyes, not the tracker, when close enough for 1-2 seconds of error to be a problem

I've had a drive around that junction and there's only actually a small section that is potentially wrong and says "Bridge West" - at most 8 metres of the end of Bridge East and an approx 25m section of whatever you'd call the piece of road between H2 and Devil's Corner.
At any kind of speed, driving through those areas would likely only result in an error for one second.
