Would like too see some more dj's throughout the daytime so I have something to cruise along to Tongue

and we need some more retro songs! BP should whip out some of that 60's stuff Tongue

I agree, the radio is too quiet, with the amount of DJ's we have. There's only like a few DJ's currently active DJ'ing.

I usually cover those grounds, but I rarely get more than 1 - 3 listeners. (On a full server) Thumbdown

It would be nice if the radio was more active, no wonder there is no listeners, if we are only turned on a few times per month. There are a couple of active DJ's, but the list ends very quickly.

We need to find a way, to motivate DJ's somehow.

What you DJ's should do, is host competitions for Insim cash. Doesn't even have to be that much money, say between 1k-5k. But the competition can only be done by listening to the radio. Although I'm not sure if you DJ's use your mics or what.

Just get listeners to do a request in and the DJ picks the first correct answer or something.

Just thought of a sort of competition that could be done and is simple.

Make listeners guess the song currently playing (first correct guess win?). Just have to remember not putting a title on the song file so it can be seen in the insim Tongue

Yeah next problem is going to be... Where do we DJ's get the cash from to give away at those kinds of games? I wouldn't even want to start funding an event on my own money. I'm already short with just driving alone (for when-ever I'm on the server), add funding tiny events on long base to that, and I will have my second permanent ban for being bankrupt.

Its up to each dj if they want to do a competition and its ofcourse out of our own pocket to give prizes. That was just an idea.

I used to have Screenshot competitions and also Radio jingle competitions to let people get a chance to earn money, that however was all done without me being on air but people could sometimes win 100K, but back then i also drove alot to earn that money.
As Ras said its up to each DJ to decide if they want to do competitions and it will be out of their own pockets.
I will see if i can get some competition going soon.

I'd like to try a DJ slot one day and would like to play a mix of rock and indie from the last 40 years. I've not done it before, but I'm willing to try at least once!

The problem really is, start broadcasting anything old, and you will have 1 - 3 listeners tops..

I did a real good giveaway last week, think we got 20k in the end and that was from people donating to it without even asking me, so if you advertise it well enough it works.

Metal and Rock is a little bit popular, I maxed around 8 one time. Most of them were probably Hoshi, but yeah, what BP said.
