- Report: 1604ERLEND (Archived by Pipa)
Your LFS Username: gyunter
Their LFS Username(s): 1604ERLEND Their LFS GameName(s): ERLEND Replay and/or Screenshot Link: http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/1hy6timyT.mpr Replay Timestamps: 1:15 Description of incident: Now let's have a look from my point of view. After leaving the pit lane and moving to the junction I've noticed in the rear-view mirror that there was a car drifting on the wrong side and decided to slow down and kept watchin backside using R. I was moving 80kph and he saw that. I could do nothing to avoid that crash, even if I continue moving, he WOULD crash me anyway. So, I think that calling me a perpetrator of the accident is unfair, I'm not a kind of a trouble maker. If you watch replay @ 1:31.58 on slow speed, you'll see that his car was about to fly away from the barriers. I didn't want that to happen with me as I had a long trip at the moment. I dont have any claims against ERLEND, he said sorry and payed the fine. The only thing I want is to get that warning removed from my URS. Thank you for your attention. |

Real police officers don't stop their car on the motorway if they feel the need to watch what happens behind of it. You could have sensibly continued and pulled over on the right, to let the xrg pass and then chase it for drifting. (2013-08-29 22:39)gyunter Wrote: I was moving 80kph and he saw that. But since i don't like guessing i judge what i see and i saw you stopping in the middle of the road, which provoked an accident. Although i would rather call it brakechecking. Look at rule 1.2: Quote:1.2. Do not crash or ram other cars deliberately. You were to blame for that accident. However if you don't like my view on this, another admin is free to give us a 2nd oppinion. |

Quote:You could have sensibly continued and pulled over on the right, to let the xrg pass and then chase it for drifting.Seems like you haven't checked the time stamp I've mentioned. ERLEND would crash me whatever move I'd make as he was driving too fast. In my opinion you just don't want to see ERLEND's part of the accident, like he did nothing wrong. He did saw the car in front but kept trying to drift and failed. So why do you call my breaking a negligent driving? First of all there's a junction and people do have to break, secondary - it's a game and I have to switch view to watch backside. There's no rear mirror above my monitor. |

RE: Report: 1604ERLEND
I did check that timestamp and as i said it might have been a possibilty, but as often as i watched that replay i am not sure he would have hit you if you had continued onwards in a safe manner.
You caused this accident in the first place and took away most of his responsibilty by making such an unexpected stop. Your brake axis is fully applied. The junction is way further ahead and i have seen you take this corner before, your heavy braking can not be explained by braking for this corner. Looking behind shortly does not mean you have to stop like you did, everyone one else can look briefly behind and still continue onwards without having the need to stop. And if you can't do that then i would suggest the virtual mirror. To sum this up even in your best case scenario(him hitting you), you were at least partially to blame since, you stopping, massively amplified that accident. I still am not sure if he would have hit you though, you may seem to see it differently. However that is not what this warning is solely about, if you can both be partially blamed for this accident then you can not fine a user for "causing an accident". You were both partially at fault. And that is why i gave you this warning. |

Your brake axis is fully applied.I can't argue with that, I'm using mouse so there's no other way to brake, especially when I'm looking backside, that's my fault. It really looks like a hard breaking on the replay, I didn't lay a scheme to cause that accident, I would still fine him for wrongsiding and drifting. However, I consider this as an unfair descision to make a warning for me: A robber was breaking road rules, paid cop's attention, crashed him, after getting fined the fine was refunded and a cop recieved a warning. |

RE: Report: 1604ERLEND
You were one/main cause of that accident and then fined the user for it. Another admin did look over this and agreed with my decision.
It is only a warning and if it does not happen again, you will be fine. No action has been taken for reasons described. Thank you for your report. It has now been moved to the archives. |
