Why is there a random rock in the middle of the road? Or is it just us in the UK that have massive potholes instead of rocks?

Well I kind of answered you on the "Why is there a random rock in the middle of the road" and as you talked about potholes, I thought if there was a pothole, they put a rock to cover it.

It's a parking lot for trucks at a gas station so the rock is just there to help mark out the parking area

I don't think that's a good idea. I mean there's truck drivers who don't pay attention to items lower than the windshield on parking lots.

Like my classmate parked a combination truck next to a fence, and there was a concrete "car" as a mark at the end of the fence. And yes, as he drove off, he drove along the fence and hit that concrete car, fortunately only breaking the bumper

But seriously, that rock isn't really small, and most of the drivers probably are able to avoid it
