So i just recently came across this awesome Mod for Arma 2: OA called DAyZ.
anyone else playing it?
For those who dont know it: its an zombie apocalypse mod for Arma 2 that throws you into the open world of chernerous with zombies everywhere. The goal is simple: survive.
you have to gatehr food and water, and you can team up with other players on the server (or get shoot by them for your stuff). and if you Die youre Dead. you loose everything and have to start on a different server.

Do you guys play it online, and can it work with the Steam version?

God, ive got too many installations. I got it 3 times. Arma 2 Black edition, Arma 2 Reinforcements and Arma 2 Arrowhead. Installing and patching in a certain order will result in "Combined Operations". Thats one of the reason why I hate this game, they caused so much confusions with standalone-releases and DLCs.
After trying to install Arma for 4 hours, finally got it working. DayZ, Best mod EVER.

Maybe a offtopic a little but I just tried Arma 2 Campaing on my mates house cuz he just got the game. It was flying with some eagle or some sort of bird. I did it about 15-20mins, just pressing W, A and D and then the damn bird got shot down.
Arma II Is amazing on its own, DayZ makes it spectacular. Arma III is planned for 2013 release too
Sidetracking off of DayZ here but anyone see Arma 3 at E3? It looks amazing and seems more open than before.
I've seen DayZ gameplay on internet, looks fun. Too bad i'm too young to have a credit card and my parents believe steam is a scam.

I'm about to buy Arma 2 now with OperationArrohead and get on the mod dayz would be awesome if someone can show me around, is it easy to get started and learn the controls and how stuff works?
I still play it alot, its best to play arma 2 on its own frist to get the hang of the controls and how the game works.
I have A2 / Arrowhead also, DayZ is fun, feel free to join with us, Klurre
-edit- some proper coop missions + teamspeak = best way to spend an evening besides lfs

I'm up for it now, i don't know what to do at the start tho.. all i've been doing is running from zombies then die while i'm trying to either drink or eat lol.. how do i equip myself with an axe or so?
