The best driver can't win. Only the wealthiest one can. The best driver would have to give up sleep just to keep up with that XFR and then his health would be at risk, because of someone's money advantage.

It also makes it easy for a previous GB3K winner to just keep on winning, and winning, and winning until there's no point of competing for anyone at all.

Does anyone agree or is this just me?

I agree to an extent. People who win Gumball usually do the following:

• Prepare (Earn lots of money before the Gumball starts)
• Commit (Have plenty of time to spend driving)
• Consistent (It's a marathon not a sprint, do a similar amount of driving each day)
  

This means that the only real factor that could stop you from winning the Gumball is being able to commit the time to it. Like many, I have a very little free time to commit to Gumball but that doesn't mean I can't get a prize. There's something for everyone in the Gumball, you just have to fit it around your time constraints.

Its been mentioned a couple of times if I'm right to just ban these rental cars from Gumball. The people with money will be forced to drive a regular car anyone can get, and the poor people still have a chance of winning.

(Oh, and uh, its not just this year's gumball that's a wealth-race.)

I don't think banning rental cars would really be completely fair. They've got to be fair on both sides, rich or poor, if they've got the money to use a GTR, then they reserve the right to use one.

You don't see them banning fast cars in the real Gumball? I know it's a different sort of rally there but still, same sort of principles apply. The rich use faster cars, the poorer use slower. I guess they'll have to deal with that and, as Pete said, work around their time schedules and work towards something else. Such as an aim for finishing in the Top 10/15 or the PTTM award.

It seems Dowpy's town (Fagersta) has been evacuated due to forest fires overnight. 1 dead, around 1000 evac'd. Pictures are pretty spectacular.
