That's a pretty funny car to my eyes!
Good to know you like it, its all that matters.
*Quick snip*
The MB4 was based on the Honda Domani, which was itself heavily based on the Rover 400. This made for quite a nice blend.
Yeah its quite the blend. I tried googling it before, apparently along with the Aerodeck stationwagon its the only version with these looks. Also apparently the D16B2 engine it has is also only found in the Aerodeck and an auto Rover 416si.

The other way around though, Rover begged to use the Civic platform for their 400-series as they did with the 800-series/Legend and 600-series/Accord.
Yeah, the wood on the dash reminded me of the rovers. The 216 has that kind of style too.

Which is also Honda Concerto.
They used to do
a lot of joint-engineering projects and parts/platform sharing in the 80's and 90's. Both companies benefited massively from it, even though in the end Honda basically dumped Rover having outlived the usefulness...
So you could say that Rover is pretty much like Vauxhall for Opel or Lexus was/is for Toyota?

Vauxhall for Opel... A bit like that, although both are owned by General Motors and generally its just badge engineering for different markets nowadays.
Lexus is just literally badge engineering used by Toyota for marketing
They've never been different companies.
Rover was never owned by Honda though. They just worked together to create new models.
I'd say a close comparison would be the one-time joint deal by Fiat Group and SAAB, when they developed the Fiat Croma/Alfa 164/Lancia Thema and the Saab 9000.
Love it when AJ gets to talk about Hondas
I call him 'The Honda guy' though he drives a Saab nowadays..
Anyway, nice car Cola, and interesting facts here
Couldnt keep this a secret any longer haha.
Basically a bog-standard 1999 BMW 530D with 184hp.
Only changes from standard is that it has had the rear seats removed and registered for 2 persons for tax reasons
, has tinted indicators, tinted rear lights, and the rims on the pic.

Should probably make it clear that this is for tax reasons
The wheels could've been a lil bigger for a large estate like that, don't you think?

Yeah, the wheels could of been bigger and wider so they come to the arch, but cant help if your funds are not big enough to buy bigger (we just bought the rims for those tyres as we had them as spare, would of bought bigger ones if we wouldnt be so damn poor and everyone would of have got a job
D)
Also it will be converted back to 5-seater when we manage to get it to pass MOT, Just one hole, brake re-bleed (still some air left) and reset the airbag light.
Those 530D's are nice, tried an auto E39 once, really liked it
Nice car, big step up from the corolla
Just dropped it off for interior!

This is an automatic too with the "Sequential" sports mode.
As in for the upgrade from corolla though, wont happen, this is pretty much a family daily driver so i probably wont get to drive it that much. Shame :/

I had money to lowered car already
went to same place as before, maybe to low?
Looking much better than a couple weeks ago Jimmy! The 2 mods that you have done recently really improve the look of the car! In my opinion you could make the car look even better with a new, paint job! But then that is my opinion not yours
Same opinion as K_Badam. +2
