My life is pretty boring, Golf is still broken, Rabbit is hibernating, and the Eos is a DSG lol. I did however just buy some wheels for the Eos on Black Friday! Should be here later this week! And believe it or not I buyers interested in both the Eos and Mk1, might be stepping into a second Mk7 or A3 finally!

Why import it from Japan thougt?
Rich japanese people buy a lot of Mercedes because it's a status item there, and they keep them in absolutely mint condition with low miles usually.
There's quite a few japanese Mercs imported to Finland as well.

Pretty much what AJ said. The car is in almost factory new condition and I also got it really really cheap compared to the ones that are for sale here.
So did you buy it in Japan and get it imported, or buy it from a German dealer who is importing it for you?

What's happening to your Golf?

I contacted a German importer/exporter who is sitting in Japan. I told them what I was looking for and they started searching through the auctions and dealers in Japan.
In the end they found the car I wanted, bought it out of an auction, shipped it to their location, where it has been checked, serviced, etc.
At the moment they are preparing the car for the shipping and it will probably leave Japan by the end of next week and will arrive here at the end of january, where I will pick it up from the habour.

The Golf is leased. I will return it somewhen next year, around the time when I will pick up my new car.
A really nice car though and I'm sure I will miss it. Especially with all the nice memories I had with it, like meeting Angel in Vienna
That Mercedes looks so clean! Can you change the digital display to a different language? Might be confusing having it in Japanese haha
